Gibson (new) 50th Anniversary 1960 Gibson ES-335TD
#A00103, in natural, with hard shell case.
Back in the late 1950s, Gibson was boldly pushing the envelope on electric guitar design. The effort resulted in several models that were just too far ahead of their time to sink in with players of the day—the Flying V and Explorer being cases in point — and were gone from the catalogue by 1960. The ES-335 however was an instant classic, embraced by blues, rock, country and jazz players the world over. By 1960, this model was hitting its stride though it was certainly a year of transition for the iconic model.

Gibson (new) ES-175 Full Depth Electric Archtop
#21599002 , in Chablis, with one built-in neck position pickup, with a hard shell case.
What makes this guitar highly unusual is the color, which is not a common color for this model (more photos available if you click on “More Info.”) and that it has just one built-in humbucking pickup. Gibson made
single pickup ES-175s from 1949 to 1971. Having just the one pickup in
the neck position opens the top up for greater vibration and, thusly, the
instrument sounds, fuller, warmer and with greater lower mids and bass
response. The Gibson List is $5,880
